Studio City, California
Are you ready for this? I had a scene all set up months ago where Susan and Miss Cornelia squabble about Presbyterians versus Methodists for the Anne’s House of Dreams sequence. Today I get ready to write it and check against the book, only to find out Susan and Miss Cornelia only have one minor scene together – it was
Rainbow Valley I had been thinking of! How could I have made such a goof? I guess I can replace Susan with Captain Jim just as easily, but right now it doesn’t feel like it’ll have the same impact; there was a specific reason I wanted Susan and Miss Cornelia to be going at it. Maybe I’ll have to bring Leslie into it now, too. I’m just torqued at myself for getting this mixed up – it’s not like me!

It doesn’t help that I’m tired and that I’m distressed about the weirdness going on with the Internet. I look up “nine lives of lucy maud montgomery” and I get my site, but with the header “9. you good for nothing piece of human furniture”. This is somehow a reference to my second book, Extra Extra!: Memoirs from a Piece of Human Furniture, but how it got connected to my main site – and to the musical – is beyond me, and I don’t know how to fix it, which has sort of sapped what little energy I had today.

The only good news is that a Japanese site, Yukazine, has imported the very videos from this journal page (which are also accessible on YouTube) onto their own! This means that folks in Japan know about the musical already! Ohayou gozaimasu!

OK, so I just found out Yukazine is run by Yuka Kajihara, who lives in Toronto. Still! Ohayou gozaimasu just the same! Genki desu ka? (I was fascinated with all things Japanese at age 8 when I lived in Hawai’i, so pardon the enthusiasm!)

Now, what to do with the Anne’s House of Dreams contingent? Decisions, decisions…
